For this reason, the Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages developed a series of projects addressed to students and to highschool pupils such as the following: the Summer School for German Language, the Forum for Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship, Sessions of Scientific Communication, and so on. FABIZ projects are characterized by the qualitative organization of such events and by the top guests. In this way, we invite you to participate to each event organized by our faculty in order to convince yourself about these things.

This Summerschool offers as well the opportunity to make new friends, to know other young people from Romania and from abroad who share common interests and who want to find out new things about the German culture, civilization and business environment.

Each year there are organized three editions of Summerschool, between July and September. All these editions take place in Brasov. For more details and information you can enter on the following website: www.scoaladegermana.ro.

INTERCULTURAL DAY OF FABIZ

Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages celebrates each year, in december FABIZ Intercultural Day. Students of the faculty, originating from different countries, present their customs and traditions, and all of us – students, professors, administrative personnel – have the opportunity to interact, to better know each other in an informal environment, to find out new things about other cultures and to enjoy together a nice evening with food, drinks and good music.

Each country benefits of a small stand that will be decorated as its representatives wish, such that it will be representative for that country. Over the time we enjoyed beautiful artistic programs (with music, dance, traditional costumes, etc), which pleased us and helped us to better know our colleagues from a different perspective.

L’Oreal Competition

Brandstorm 2016 National Finals in Romania

BRANDSTORM 2016 NATIONAL FINALS IN ROMANIA INTERNATIONAL BRANDSTORM COMPETITION AND FABIZ

In 2014-2015, FABIZ students had the opportunity for the first time to participate in the international BRANDSTORM contest – Let Innovation Take Off organized by L’Oreal on the following topic: “Redesigning the Business Retail Travel Experience – luxury divisio – Lancome”.

In this contest, and under the guidance of professors from UNESCO Department for Business Administration (prof. univ. dr. Alina Mihaela Dima, conf. univ. dr. Valentina Mihaela Ghinea si drd. Sharazad Hadad), participants solved and presented a case study with real data. The papers were evaluated by specialists of l’Oreal company, and at the end of each stage they offered feedback to all the teams.

In the national semi-finals of the contest, there were qualified 17 teams, out of which 15 were from FABIZ, 1 from Marketing and 1 from SNSPA.

The national finals took place at the headquarters of l’Oreal in Bucharest, and it ended with the selection of team Di-French to represent the Romanian subsidiary of the company at the international finals from Paris. Di-French consisted of 3 FABIZ Erasmus students: D. Pavel, C. Peuchot, P. Micouleau, from English section, 3rd year.

The results of our collaboration and involvement reflected in the fact that a FABIZ team of students coordinated by professors from our department (drd. Hadad Shahrazad, prof.univ. dr. Alina Mihaela Dima) won the national finals and represented Romania, our university and our faculty in the L’Oreal Brandstorm 2015 international contest from Paris. In this way, the representatives of our faculty (students and professors), succeeded to promote FABIZ at international level, proving in the same time, the international dimension of our faculty, and implicitly, of our department. Also, an important thing to mention is the fact that one of the participants in the final contest obtained a position in L’Oreal, after the contest.

L’OREAL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION TOOK PLACE OVER THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-2016, WITH THE TOPIC: LA ROCHE-POSAY.

The company’s representatives met twice with professors and students from FABIZ in order to promote the contest:

  • 8th of October 2015, 13,30 o’clock, for the third year, English section, Amphitheater 3
  • 13th of October 2015, 16,30 o’clock, classroom 4102 for the english master program. There were also invited colleagues from the department to promote the competition for the German and French section.

The competition was also promoted through posters displayed at the poster board of the faculty and through social media (facebook).

As a result, out of 90 teams registered for the competition at national level, 53 teams represented FABIZ. Further on, 42 teams managed to finalize and send the project in due time (1st-30th of November, 2015) on the platform provided by l’Oreal.

After the first evaluation, there were selected 20 teams, out of which 15 represented FABIZ, 2 REI, 2 the Marketing Faculty and 1 team representing SNSPA.

The semi-finals took place between 14th-15th of December, at the l’Oreal headquarters from Bucharest, where the teams presented in front of a jury consisting of specialists from the company. The teams from FABIZ were supported by their coordinating professors (prof. univ. dr. Alina Mihaela Dima, conf. univ. dr. Valentina Ghinea, Shahrazad Hadad).

  Evaluation and feedback from professors, and especially from specialists from the business environment;

  Training and hiring opportunities for FABIZ students;

  Promoting the faculty in the business community at national and international level.

FSDE

Forum for Sustainable Development

The Bucharest University of Economic Studies in collaboration with Business Club and Pro Magna Association organises each year the Forum for Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship (FSDE).

This event was created from the desire to solve the problem of low collaboration between Government, academic and private environment, problem with which Romania confronts for a long time.

The Forum for Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship  is a message of professors, of state members and of young Romanian people who wish a change in society. In this way, in 2014 it was created this debates platform where representatives from the three types of environment meet and discuss problems, and elaborate strategies and solutions.

OBJECTIVES

    • To consolidate the relationship between the three types of environment in order to elaborate efficient strategies for public policies;
    • To create a platform that offers as much information as possible related to this field;
    • To perform relevant research and to bring together specialists from different field of activity, in order to develop governmental and business strategies;
    • To inform students regarding the economic and political environment in order to encourage them to involve actively during the conferences.
    • To develop the relationships between members of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies with Government representatives with the purpose to create a context for efficient collaboration between the two entities.

    In 2016 FSDE reached to its third edition and succeeded to gather over 1500 participants, 80 guest speakers, and a diversified approach of the debated topics due to the involvement of the 11 faculties from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

    The topics approached during the conferences are diverse, from topics of interest for students to relevant topics that facilitate the collaboration between Government and the academic environment. A few examples of topics from the last edition are the following: Wearable Technology, The Future of Energy, Agrigulture’s Role in Romania’s Economy, From Efficiency-Driven to Innovation-Driven Economy, Refugee Crisis and How It Affects Economy, Trends in Entrepreneurship: Social Entrepreneurship etc.

    The students’ interest for their personal and professional development, their concern for the problems faced by our country at this moment, and their interest for the business environment, created a favorable context for debating problems and proposing solutions for these problems.

    The Bucharest University of Economic Studies considers that FSDE is a serious solution practiced for a very long time in other more developed societies, and it represents an optimal method of collaboration between the academic environment, business environment and Government.
