The Center for Research Management and Innovation offers logistics and consultancy for developing national and international research projects, and a better integration pf information regarding these projects  performed by the academic community. The research infrastructure in this university is structured on research centers.

Mission and objectives of the Center

The Research Center for Intelectual Capital and Entrepreneurship is accredited as an institution and it develops its activity in the Bucharest University of Economic Studies since 2007.

The Center’s mission is to generate knowledge through promoting fundamental and applicative scientific research, through technological development and innovation in the fields of entrepreneurship and intellectual capital, and in the knowledge dissemination through scientific publications and events.

The Research Center for Intelectual Capital and Entrepreneurship has as research priorities the following domains: corporate entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, academic entrepreneurship, organizational intellectual capital, strategic management, knowledge management, organizational learning, organizational intelligence. The Center promotes interdisciplinary research by taking into consideration their complexity and dynamics. Even though this center belongs to the Faculty of Business Administration, from administrative point of view, it is open to all professors and researchers from the university, who are interested in contributing to the research domains enumerated above.

The objectives of the Research Center for Intelectual Capital and Entrepreneurship are the following:

  1. Obtaining the accreditation as a center of excellence.
    2. Developing a network of similar centers at national level.
    3. Cooperating with similar centers at international level.

The international scientific journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society is a debating forum of the newest ideas in management and marketing domains, and it publishes mainly articles based on original research activities approaching subjects as: strategic management, intellectual capital, business management, entrepreneurship, international marketing, online marketing, international business, university management, knowledge management, change management, human resources management, etc.

This scientific journal, established in 2006, represents a project of the Professional Society for Business Excellence. At the moment, this journal has as chief editor prof. univ. dr. Alina Mihaela DIMA, and as editorial assistants (technical and language editors): dr. Hadad Shahrazad si drd. Ramona Cantaragiu. The entire editorial team is formed of professors of the UNESCO Department for Business Administration, which belongs to the Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages.

Starting from 2015, the scientific journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society started a collaboration with the international publishing house De Gruyter. De Gruyter, is a German publishing house, with a history of 270 years in publishing books and journals of the academic environment. Following this collaboration, the journal has a new website that is officialy integrated in the website of the German publishing house (www.degruyter.com/view/j/mmcks). The journal’s website is permanently updated by specialists from Germany. In order to increase the international visibility reflected in the number of citations, the journal uses at this moment DOI and CrossRef services provided by the publishing house. The collaboration with this international publishing house has the following objectives:

  • International visibility through the association with a well-known publishing house at international level.
  • Journal’s distribution in libraries at international level (over 500 libraries).
  • Increase in citations’ number through DOI and CrossRef services.
  • Journal’s indexing in numerous data bases recognized at international level, especially Web of Knowledge- ISI Thomson

At present, the international scientific journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society is ranked B+ by CNCSIS and it is indexed in numerous international data bases / international catalogues: Elsevier – SCOPUS, EBSCO (relevant databases), EBSCO Discovery Services, DOAJ, ProQuest (relevant databases), CEJSH (The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities), EconLit, Microsoft Academic Search, TEMA Technik und Management, Baidu Scholar, ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences), Cabell’s Directory, CEEOL, Celdes, CNKI Scholar, CNPIEC, Google Scholar, J-Gate, Naviga (Softweco), Primo Central (ExLibris), ReadCube, Research Papers in Economics (RePEc), Summon (Serials Solutions/ProQuest), TDOne (TDNet), Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory/ulrichsweb, WorldCat (OCLC).

An international evaluation of the journal ranks it through the best scientific journal in the field of social sciences in Central and South-Eastern Europe. As a result, the journal Management & Marketing. Challenges for the Knowledge Society obtained after the Index Copernicus 2012 evaluation an ICV score of 5.71, which is higher than in 2009, when it obtained only 3.27.

At present, the journal’s content is distributed in over 500 international libraries, through which we can mention the following: Oxford Brookes University, The London Library, Boston University Libraries, Harvard University Library, Princeton University Library, Stanford University Libraries, Yale University Library.

All the services provided by this international publishing house are meant to increase the performance and quality of this journal, through a higher visibility offered by the content distribution, marketing services, De Gruyter platform and all its functionalities, which will contribute significantly to the international impact of the journal and to its indexing in ISI Web of Science.
