What are we doing?

The Faculty of Business Administration with Teaching in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) is organising the “International School of Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship” boot camp between September 11-20, 2024, in Predeal, addressed to students, PhD Candidates, Researchers and graduates of higher education (alumni) who want to develop their intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial skills.
Welcome to the 9-day intense in-person Interactive Entrepreneurial and Intrapreneurial Training Bootcamp. Our goal is to provide participants with the information, skills, and connections they need to succeed in the fast-paced worlds of intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship. This bootcamp is a unique chance to work with peers from across the world and learn from international mentors. It is being held at ASE, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, in the lovely Predeal in a state-of-the-art facility.
We work on setting a benchmark in this area of pre-incubation and mentoring of future entrepreneurs.

Alex M. Dascălu

  • Regional Director – Founder Institute (RO & CEE), Entrepreneur, Mentor

Alex is the Regional Lead Director, Global Team Advanced Leader and Global Mentor at Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed start-up accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley.  Alex has over 19 years of entrepreneurial experience and expertise in launching and scaling global start-ups. He has helped launch over 70 new tech enabled start-ups and counting, including some of the most gender-diverse portfolios across 180 global programs, earning the Start-up Visionary Award in 2018.
He has a passion for fostering entrepreneurial innovation and education. He holds a Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA (USA) degree and a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University Darmstadt (Germany). He has domain knowledge in Digital Transformation, smart cities, IoT, AI, FMCG, Entertainment industry and I have served as a business advisor for several start-ups and as a strategic adviser for a Big Four company. Additionally, he is a start-up coach and advisor for the TV Show Imperiul Leilor (aka Dragons’ Den / Shark Tank) show on ProTV, where he scouts and coaches entrepreneurs. His mission is to empower entrepreneurs to create impactful and sustainable businesses that solve real-world problems.

George Oprea

  • Consultant, Entrepreneur, Facilitator

After 20 years of experience in the area of financial services, during which he managed complex projects, George took the step into consulting and entrepreneurship. In this context, he proposed the creation of the School of Entrepreneurship to support young people in their preparation for the entrepreneurial environment, so that they can sooner have the courage to step on the entrepreneurial path. George ensures the connection with mentors for leadership skills and ensures the relationship with institutional partners (educational institutions, sponsors).

Stere Stamule

  • Lecturer, Facilitator

He is a lecturer of European Business Environment, Quality and Innovation in Business and Economic Projects and Business Games (teaching in German and English). His current interests include the role of entrepreneurship in stimulating economic growth in developed and developing countries, relationship marketing in the energy field, energy communities and renewable energies.
In the last 15 years, Stere has organised and participated in about 230 workshops and conferences, both in Romania and abroad, interacting with many representatives of the business environment, the academic environment, political decision-makers and public administration. During this time, he has published 14 scientific articles in nationally and internationally recognized publications.

There is a 50% discounted participation fee per participant of 2,000 RON (400 EUR)

The participation rate includes the cost of accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), coffee breaks and lecturers’ fees.

FABIZ managed to reduce the costs of the event by more than 50% (standard rate 4,000 RON/ 800 EUR) thanks to the partners who support this project.

After the evaluation of our application, you will be contacted by the organisers with the confirmation for the participation. Subsequently, you will receive the data for the participation fee payment.

Occupancy of the place is done by paying an advance of at least 30% of the registration fee, no later than August 25, 2024. 

Seats are reserved in the order of payment of the registration fee.

A later payment is allowed up to 3 days after this term (August 28), but only after the written agreement received by email!

The total amount must be paid by August 31.

ERASMUS for foreign students coming to Romania

Erasmus+ for short mobilities

 Short placement mobility

A short placement mobility represents a traineeship / internship / volunteering project done abroad.

You can join as a trainee/ intern/ volunteer IES 2024, if you get accepted. The mobility can last anything between 5 – 30 days.

The mobility must include a physical stay in Romania and a virtual/online learning activity (before or after the physical mobility) – the virtual activity is mandatory for Bachelor and Master students (the virtual activity is not mandatory for PhD students).

The host will be the NGO organizing IES 2024.

Fellowships

Women in Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship Fellowship

The Women in Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship Fellowship is an initiative designed to empower female students who are actively involved in entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial activities, particularly those with a focus on social impact. This fellowship aims to encourage, support and recognize the efforts of young women who are driving change within their communities and organisations through innovative and impactful projects.

Eligibility: Female students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs, including PhD candidates, who are involved in entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial extracurricular activities preferably with a social impact focus.

Fellowship Benefits

Financial Support: Fellows will receive a stipend to cover bootcamp participation expenses.

Mentorship: Access to a network of experienced mentors from various industries, including successful entrepreneurs, business consultants, and academic professionals during and one year after the bootcamp.

Workshops and Training: Participation in specialised workshops and training sessions focused on leadership, innovation, business development, and social impact.

Networking Opportunities: Opportunities to connect with like-minded peers, industry leaders, and potential investors through exclusive networking events.

Project Support: Guidance and support in developing and implementing entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial projects with or without social impact.

Recognition: A certificate of completion and recognition as a Women in Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship Fellow, enhancing the fellow’s resume and professional profile.

Review and Selection: Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Final Selection: Successful candidates will be notified of their selection and provided with further details about the fellowship program.
